Comedy Night at The Dunes

Day 12 of 100 Things to do on Sanibel & Captiva takes us to Comedy Night at The Dunes. They hold this special event once a month as well as other fun nightly activities like trivia night and dinner and dancing. This is the only event of its kind on Sanibel. The Dunes is one of 3 golf courses on the island and offers great social and golf memberships. You are able to enjoy all of the activities even if you are not a member, you just can't get the special member price.

Before the comedian began, The Dunes served a full buffet dinner and dessert and they had their bar open for us to hang out around with all the other people attending. The food was delicious. They served salad, bread, chicken marsala, sweet potatoes, carved turkey and carrot cake for dessert.

That night, the comedian at Comedy Night at The Dunes was Bob DiBuono. Different comedians perform each month. Bob headlines nationally and has appeared on "TRL", The Today Show, CNN and Fox's Red Eye. He appears frequently on the Jim Bruer Show on Sirius and has been on Opie and Anthony on XM. Bob has also been seen and heard in many national commercials for Wendy's, Discovery Health and Spike TV. 

Bob DiBuono was great and was able to interact with the crowd so it made it fun for all of us. Now I cannot stress this enough, these comedians are not family friendly. Please don't bring your children because there is definitely some inappropriate humor for them. If you are fine with a little crude fun, then this is a fun event for you to attend! You will definitely see Brendan and I at Comedy Night again as well as other Dunes events!

Costs for Comedy Night at The Dunes are $15/Member, $25/Guest of Member (Show Only) Make it Dinner and a Show: $35 Member / $49 Non-Member.
